Australia Day Eve

Just for something slightly different, Tyranny Of Distance will be featuring entirely Australian artists on this week's show on Australia Day Eve.

For starters, Jamie Stevens of internationally acclaimed electronic act Infusion has a chat about the best audiences in the world, their Big Day Out expectations and the new album - Six Feet Above Yesterday.

From the Crayon Fields, Geoff will be in the studio to spin a selection of his all time favourite Australian tunes and tell us a bit about his other outfit, the Sly Hats, who are joining an all star line up at the Pony in a big hearted Australia Day tsunami benefit effort.
Other bands on the bill include: The Exotics, First Time Hookers, Tri-State Lovers, The Panel Of Judges, On and 72 Blues. All proceeds go to Oxfam/Community Aid Abroad.

As well...
Cec from the Mess Hall (aka the Cec Hall) will be calling in from the Big Day Out touring machine with some of his choice Australian favourites, and we'll have PBS' very own Reggie Ray of 72 Blues and Konqistador fame with his cosmopolitan perspective too. More great Aussie music than you can poke a boomerang at. Crikey!!

Talk then...
