Check this out...

As always in Melbourne Town there are some great gigs coming up in the next few weekends - here are some you should not miss.....

Thursday April 22 Iron On + Remake Remodel + The Bites @ Espy
Friday April 23 Iron On + Teen God + Minor Ache @ Vic
Saturday April 24 Iron On + New Estate @ Cue Bar
One of the best new bands kicking around at the moment, this smart, tight and very good looking Brisbane quartet will set Melbourne alight with a couple of shows this weekend starting on Thursday at the Espy. The new EP will be out at the start of May through MGM nationally, but I recommend catching them live on one of their all too infrequent jaunts south. If you like Death Cab For Cutie, Fugazi, Pavement, Sleater-Kinney then check these guys out.

Saturday April 30 Gentle Ben And His Sensitive Side @ Rob Roy
This is Ben from SixFtHick and his other band. Also starring members of the Melniks, Cunningham and David McCormack's Polaroids, sexy Ben Corbett's sweet and sour crooning will have you swooning into your scotch. Guaranteed. The new single is called The Beginning Of The End and is out now on their album of the same name through Spooky Records.

Saturday May 8 the Specimens 'Get On Top/Drama Queen' single launch with Cockfight Shootout + Blacklist + Vegas Kings (BNE) @ Revolver
Not afraid to rock out with their collective cock out, this will be a night of raucous debaucherous rock AND roll in support of their killer new single.
